Energy Channels

Following the course of the breathe,

we may begin to feel our own lines of energy,

the blood coursing through our veins,

activating our muscles and organs,

giving life to our bodies and subtle selves.

Two main lines of energies start at the nose,

as we breathe in through the nostrils,

the air passes upwards,

meets and crosses between the eyebrows,

then moves back downwards towards the lungs.

As we exhale we create a release,

while simultaneously giving back to our surroundings.

On a subtler level these lines double helix through concentrated areas of our body,

and then reconnecting at the root of the spine, and then back upwards,

straight up the center.

The points at which the left and right energy channels cross are at our "chakras" which most people

imagine are these spinning wheels, but in a traditional sense are actually crossroads where our

main channels and other smaller ones densely meet at. Imagine a ball of entangled strings or

chords of wire.

This concentration and density of channels potentially can cause blockages but also a great

releases of psychophysical energy.

More on each of these cross paths or centers later...

Through the breathe and some physical movement we can guide our energies through the

many layers of our being and in all directions, forwards for propulsion, upwards, expanding to our

furthest peripheries, back inwards towards center, and downwards for release and elimination. With

guidance and training, these are movements that we can cultivate and hone.

I digress...

Our manifest energies are combinations of the five elements, creating the world as we know it,

in perfect synchronicity with our senses powered by prana ~ our life force energy.

Our life force energy exists on a wave ranging in varied degrees between erratic dynamism and an inert

heaviness.

These moving parts are the beginning of our Ahamkar, ego, or first sense of self.

Pervading our existence are the masculine and feminine forces. The masculine Purusha is pure

awareness, while Prakriti is the principle of matter and the absolute potential to create.

All these principles are moving within us, as we interact with the phenomenal world. May we

observe those energies that connect us in ways unimaginable, and allow them to move us towards our

greatest good and for those around us.
